About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team at Valvoline Instant Oil Change. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
Job Summary:
- Provide top-notch customer service and address any concerns or questions.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for potential issues or areas requiring attention.
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and replacing car lights and wipers.
- Checking fluid levels and adding fluids to vehicle when necessary.
- Inspecting/Replacing engine air filter and cabin air filter.
- Adding oil to engine in the proper amount based on specifications of vehicle make/model.
- Removing/rotating/lifting/reinstalling tires for tire rotation service.
- Lubricating necessary components of the chassis/driveline.
- Performing additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
- Performing second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly.
- Able to move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
- Frequently ascending/descending stairs/catwalks/stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts (filters, wipers, etc.) or perform services top side or underneath the vehicle (drain oil, replace filter, differential services, lubrication).
- Able to work for extended periods of time with arms above your head when performing services underneath the vehicle on a catwalk.
- Constantly positioning self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or on catwalk working underneath the vehicle.
- Able to move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Able to work with tools to perform duties in tight sometimes hard to reach areas.
- Communicating verbally and receiving verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely, and in the proper order.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Able to learn and follow the VIOC SuperPro process for all services.
- Achieve SuperPro certification.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $19.25 and $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
