Emergency Department Technician

In this challenging and rewarding role as an Emergency Department Technician, you will be working in a fast-paced environment providing essential support to our medical team. Your primary responsibilities will include answering phones, performing order entry, phlebotomy, point of care testing, and working under the direction of a registered Nurse.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform various clinical tasks including phlebotomy, ECGs, and vital sign collection
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and respect
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of completion of a certified nursing assistant program in Massachusetts, or medical assistant diploma
- Current American Heart Association/American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
