Job Title: Assistant Front Office Manager

Join the esteemed team at The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel, as we seek a highly skilled Assistant Front Office Manager to oversee property operations and provide exceptional hospitality services.

About the Role:

The Assistant Front Office Manager will report to the Director of Front Office and be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service and hospitality are provided to our guests. This role requires a strong liaison between the front office and housekeeping departments to guarantee seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and facilitate group arrivals and departures to ensure seamless service.
  • Support and comply with hotel policy in matters concerning accounting, purchasing, credit, and cash handling.
  • Maximize daily room sales by maintaining availability with reservation and booking systems.
  • Oversee hotel night audit functions and ensure accuracy of night audit reporting.
  • Comply with all brand standards and maintain proper collateral to support front office activities.
Requirements:
  • A warm and hospitable personality with a drive to assist the needs of others.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across all departments of a fast-paced luxury hotel.
  • Minimum of two years of previous Front Office/Housekeeping management experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel.
  • A college degree in hospitality or related field.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • The ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient knowledge of systems used on property including Windows, OPERA PMS, Kronos, Rex, Birchstreet, and HotSOS.
  • The ability to work a variety of schedules to include AM, PM, Overnight, Weekends, and Holidays.
  • Previous experience with NYC unions is desirable.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 75 lbs.; and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage.
