About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at The Dinerstein Companies. As a key member of our on-site maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage property upkeep, resident work orders, and preventative maintenance efforts to maintain a high level of property appearance and resident satisfaction.
  • Address resident service requests in a timely and professional manner, documenting updates, closures, and pending items in our property management software.
  • Repair or replace in-unit and common area lights, filters, fans, paint, and other fixtures to maintain property appearance.
  • Perform in-unit and community-wide preventative maintenance efforts to identify and correct potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Assist other maintenance team members with ongoing property upkeep efforts, including landscaping, trash removal, and cleaning.
  • Identify and correct hazardous property conditions to ensure a safe living environment for our residents.
  • Prepare vacant and make-ready apartments for move-ins, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for occupancy.
  • Contribute to a management team culture focused on customer service, working closely with our community managers and other team members to ensure exceptional resident satisfaction.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in on-site maintenance operations, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high levels of property appearance.
  • Experience delivering customer service efforts as a part of a successful management team, with a focus on resident satisfaction and property maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system repair efforts, with a strong understanding of building operating systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with building operating systems, including trash compactors, pool systems, boilers, and ventilation, with the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to handle some tile, carpentry, and appliance repairs, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • HVAC certification required, with CPO certification preferred.
  • Must have certifications/permits required by the city or state to perform the job, with a valid driver's license and property management software experience (Entrata preferred).
