Position Overview

The Beverage Service Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional service for all types of beverages, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. This role requires a friendly demeanor, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Consistent attendance and availability for scheduled events are essential.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $10 to $12, in addition to tips.

For part-time roles: Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, part-time, seasonal, and internship employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated patrons.
  • Follow pre-shift bar notes and menus to ensure service aligns with standards.
  • Process drink orders, mixing and presenting beverages according to established recipes while maintaining portion control.
  • Set up designated bar areas, ensuring all necessary supplies such as beer, wine, spirits, and garnishes are stocked.
  • Maintain the quality of perishable items by preparing and storing fresh garnishes and juices, requesting restocks as necessary.
  • Welcome guests warmly and courteously.
  • Recognize signs of guest inebriation and respond appropriately, involving management or security when necessary.
  • Secure and store all beverage and food items, completing closing duties at the end of the shift.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards, keeping the work area organized.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of six months experience in bartending within a high-volume setting.
  • Proficient in handling cash registers and revenue collections through a POS system.
  • Ability to meet the company’s standards for guest service, coworker interaction, and uniform presentation.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with various types of beer, wine, and spirits is preferred.
  • Self-motivated while also being an effective team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.
