Position Overview:

Compensation: This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $10 to $12, in addition to tips.

Part-Time Benefits: For part-time roles, benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, OVG grants part-time, seasonal, and internship employees one hour of accrued paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Application Process: This is an evergreen role, meaning applications are accepted continuously without a specific deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, particularly concerning minors and intoxicated patrons.
  • Review bar pre-shift notes and menus to provide service as outlined.
  • Process drink orders, mix beverages, and present them according to standard recipes while practicing portion control.
  • Prepare and stock assigned bars with necessary supplies, including beer, wine, spirits, and other essentials.
  • Maintain the quality of fresh ingredients, including fruits and vegetables, and request additional stock as needed.
  • Welcome guests with a friendly attitude.
  • Recognize signs of guest inebriation and take appropriate action, including notifying management or security when necessary.
  • Secure and store all beverage products and equipment, completing closing duties at the end of the shift.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six months of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficient in handling cash and processing transactions through a POS system.
  • Exhibit excellence in guest service, teamwork, and adherence to uniform standards.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with various beers, wines, and spirits is preferred.
  • Self-motivated while also being a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.
