Position Overview:


Under the direct supervision of an Environmental Services Supervisor, the Associate I plays a key role in ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering prompt and thorough cleaning services to maintain the hospital in a clean, sanitary, and welcoming state.


Location:
Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Schedule:
Weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Compensation:
$17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Provide thorough and efficient cleaning services across various areas, including but not limited to: patient rooms, clinical exam areas, operating theaters, pharmacies, MRI facilities, offices, conference spaces, restrooms, utility areas, and corridors.

Maintain equipment and supplies in a safe and hygienic condition.
Utilize specified cleaning products while adhering to established protocols.
Employ effective interpersonal skills to communicate with customers, colleagues, and supervisors as necessary.
Exhibit professional conduct consistently.
Direct customer feedback to appropriate personnel as needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting with patients and visitors at all times.
Complete and submit repair requests for equipment and work areas as necessary. Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available at the start and end of each shift for assigned areas.
Working Conditions:
Requires walking, standing, and bending for the entirety of the scheduled shift.
Ability to load, unload, and transport equipment, materials, and waste is necessary, including the capacity to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Qualifications:
Ability to read at a minimum of an 8th-grade level.
Ability to perform calculations at a 6th-grade level.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Three (3) months of continuous work experience is required; six (6) months of industrial cleaning experience is strongly preferred.
Must be available to work weekends.
