Medical Laboratory Technician I

Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician I at LifeBridge Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results. Your primary responsibility will be to perform moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to resolve test-related issues and ensure timely reporting of results.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Less than 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire.
- MLT (ASCP or AMT) or MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLS (ASCP) certification.
