The Corporate Accounting Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial systems and processes. Responsibilities include managing general accounting functions, accounts payable, fixed assets, leases, and consolidated financial statements.

This role requires expertise in both domestic and international accounting practices, with a focus on compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for complex accounting areas.
  • Utilize JD Edwards ERP for monthly consolidated financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely vendor payments and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Oversee compliance with state and local sales and use tax requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in public accounting or industry.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards and financial reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate effectively.
