About the Role

Maverick Transport Inc. is a dynamic and innovative company seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to lead our sales team to continued success. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and training new sales representatives, and providing leadership and guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through coaching and developing new and existing sales representatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve satisfactory net revenue results and market share in relation to preset standards and industry trends.
  • Training and Development: Interview and train entry-level sales representatives, assist sales representatives with account strategies to increase revenue, and work with the Training department to maintain and enhance sales training programs.
  • Account Management: Coordinate the allocation of support staff to accounts with high volumes of business and monitor sales reports to identify trends and market conditions.
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of prior experience working for a non-asset freight brokerage in a sales capacity.
  • At least 3-5 years of sales management experience, preferably leading a team of 5+.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and motivate others.
  • Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, aggressiveness, and confidence.
  • Self-driven with a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to think creatively to find solutions.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, transportation and logistics or similar field is a plus.
