Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team at Kinkaid Civil Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of construction professionals to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Project Coordination
    • Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all construction work meets the required standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment
    • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports to management and clients.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects, or a combination of education and experience necessary to meet the job requirements.
  • Qualifications
    • Current driver's license and insurable motor vehicle record.
    • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of buildings, highways, and/or roads.
    • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision plans, drawings, and models.
    • Knowledge of street and highway traffic rules and regulations, and safety precautions to be observed in working on or near highways.
    • Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment, thorough knowledge of safety standards.
