Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to join our team at Kinkaid Civil Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our staff and subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study project specifications with project superintendent and management to plan procedures for pipe installation sequencing.
  • Direct and coordinate daily activities of staff and subcontractors, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Operate assigned heavy equipment to excavate, install, and backfill large pipe and culvert.
  • Use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, eye levels, and transit levels to set appropriate grade for pipe installation.
  • Inspect work to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects, or combination of education and experience necessary to meet the job requirements.
  • OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid certified. Confined Space Certified, Maricopa County Rule 310 Basic Certification.
  • Must have current driver's license and insurable motor vehicle record. CDL preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in safe operation of heavy equipment (i.e. tractors, scrapers, bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators of any size, compactors).
  • Knowledge of street and highway traffic rules and regulations, and safety precautions to be observed in working on or near highways.
