Position Summary:
We are currently in search of a skilled, driven, and effective leader for the role of Senior Heavy Civil Project Supervisor. This position requires a hands-on approach, where you will lead and collaborate closely with a team of heavy equipment operators and laborers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all field operations with a proactive and hands-on management style.
  • Plan and coordinate all activities for a heavy civil construction crew.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating various types of heavy machinery for earthwork and site development projects.
  • Possess a strong understanding of earthwork processes, including excavation, grading, surveying, and final site preparation.
  • Interpret and enforce safety regulations and practices effectively.
  • Review blueprints to ascertain structural dimensions.
  • Organize and layout worksite plans as necessary.
  • Evaluate the work of team members to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Analyze production schedules and estimate labor hours required for task completion.
  • Utilize leveling tools and GPS technology to establish grades.
  • Adjust work procedures to align with production timelines.
  • Propose improvements to enhance production methods, equipment efficiency, and overall quality.
  • Identify and resolve work-related issues, assisting team members in problem-solving and motivating them to achieve project goals.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect necessary materials.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in supervisory or crew leadership roles.
  • A minimum of 3 years in heavy civil construction.
  • 5 years of experience operating large heavy machinery.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. or more repeatedly.
  • Physically capable of bending, climbing, twisting, balancing, and stooping.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
