The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining and organizing personnel records.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and publish job openings on The Salvation Army's website and other platforms as directed by hiring managers, employing innovative strategies to attract qualified applicants.
- Monitor active job listings to maintain engagement and repost as necessary.
- Advise hiring managers on best practices throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide informational materials and respond to inquiries from prospective candidates regarding company benefits.
- Oversee candidate progress during the onboarding phase to ensure timely completion of required documentation, providing follow-up support as needed.
- Assist candidates in resolving any challenges encountered during the recruitment and onboarding stages.
- Execute all necessary tasks to effectively onboard new and returning staff members.
- Deliver updates and reports to supervisors upon request.
- Prepare standard actions and agenda items for weekly divisional meetings.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are essential for this position:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years in an office environment, preferably in Human Resources. A combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
Skills and Abilities:
Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail and possess excellent customer service skills. Clear and effective communication is essential, along with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks. Proficiency in data entry and the ability to maintain confidentiality are required. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, internet usage, and email, are necessary.
Physical and Working Conditions
The physical demands of this role include effective speaking, hearing, and vision capabilities, as well as good manual dexterity. The position may require extended periods of sitting.
