Role Overview :

In this dynamic role, you'll function as the frontline contact for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, providing timely and accurate customer service to millions of Hoosiers. You'll need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high level of critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Salary Statement :

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $24.81 per hour, offering a competitive compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team.

A Day in the Life:

  • Conduct customer transactions with confidence and accuracy
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide guidance with empathy and expertise
  • Assist with the daily opening and closing of the branch, ensuring seamless operations
  • Verify transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper accounting
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve escalated customer concerns and system issues
  • File applications as completed throughout the day, maintaining a high level of organization

What You'll Need for Success:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to process cash and card transactions with ease
  • Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities
