Role Overview:

Customer Service Representatives serve as the primary point of contact for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. In this capacity, you will deliver timely and precise customer service. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Utilizing strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and on-the-job training, you will assist countless Hoosiers with their diverse BMV needs.

Key Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Utilizing your job knowledge to facilitate customer transactions
  • Addressing customer inquiries and providing assistance
  • Aiding in the daily opening and closing procedures of the branch
  • Verifying transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and proper accounting
  • Collaborating with leadership to resolve escalated customer issues and system challenges
  • Filing completed applications throughout the day

Qualifications for Success:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and troubleshooting skills
  • Capability to process cash and card transactions
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 percent of the time for branch locations, training, or community-related activities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may involve supervisory duties based on agency requirements.

Employment Benefits:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days within an eleven (11) month continuous period.
