Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a Mid-Level Systems/Electrical Engineer with an Active Secret Clearance. This role requires 100% onsite presence in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) clientele.

As a vital member of a skilled and driven team, you will engage in a dynamic program that encompasses the technical and engineering phases of systems development, testing, integration, deployment, quality assurance (QA), certification, and ongoing maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating technical support for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and regular system status coordination meetings.
  • Providing systems engineering assistance for the evaluation of open issues, preparing discussion materials, actively participating in reviews, generating reports that highlight potential challenges and solutions, and tracking resolutions to final approval.
  • Contributing to the development of requirements for emerging technologies and refining existing system-level requirements.
  • Conducting analysis and evaluation of emerging issues, performing yield analysis, updates, and enhancements to assess impacts on combat and weapon systems.
  • Managing interface changes, including new and emerging technologies, while participating in technology refresh planning and maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and management of the Teradyne S9100 Test System.
  • Creating Test Program Sets (TPS), completing TPS certifications, and implementing necessary test modifications.
  • Designing and constructing Interface Test Assemblies (ITAs).
  • Engaging with senior government leadership and other stakeholders across various organizations.
  • Completing any additional tasks as assigned by the government customer.
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; 3 years with a master's degree; no experience required with a PhD.
  • An Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment.
  • The ability to be a proactive self-starter with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical measurement tools, as well as analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience in reviewing and developing hardware/software system interface documents.
  • Skills in reading, creating, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency in C or C++ within the Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple organizations to achieve established goals within a timeline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience with DoD customers is highly advantageous.
