We are currently in search of a proficient EMC Engineer to contribute to a distinctive mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver E3 support throughout the complete lifecycle of Navy systems and vessels, from pre-acquisition to sustainment.
  • Engage in upfront EMC engineering during development phases, conducting RF characterization testing to ensure precise high-fidelity E3 analyses and evaluations, both on ships and land-based systems, to assess and quantify integration risks in the operational Electromagnetic Environment (EME).
  • Design and develop custom RF components while implementing operational concepts, including frequency management strategies to alleviate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) risks associated with both new and existing systems in ship construction and in-service designs.

Work Schedule and Expectations:

  • This role follows a standard 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Clearance: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred; a minimum of Secret clearance is required for initial consideration.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Six years or more of equivalent Department of Defense (DoD) service experience as an E-4 or above in a related technical role may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of four years of general experience in Engineering & Science, Research, Development, Test & Evaluation, or Science & Technology.
  • Experience with Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) or integration related to shipboard systems or electronic warfare systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • EMI/EMC analysis and assessment;
    • E3 instructions, standards, policies, and procedures;
    • Defense Acquisition Engineering;
    • E3/EMI/EMC Testing;
    • EMI problem investigation;
    • Spectrum, EMC, or RADHAZ Certification;
    • EMI Program Management Support (PMS);
    • US Navy Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O-FRP);
    • EMI Control and Mitigation;
    • EMI Control Measure Drawings;
    • SEMCIP Technical Assistance.
