Intermediate Systems Engineer

Peraton is in search of a Mid-Level Systems/Electrical Engineer who holds an Active Secret Clearance. This role requires full-time onsite engagement in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) clientele.
As a member of a dynamic and high-achieving team, you will engage in a stimulating program that encompasses various technical and engineering phases of systems development, testing, integration, fielding, quality assurance (QA), certification, and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing technical assistance for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) meetings, working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and regular system status coordination meetings.
- Supporting systems engineering efforts by reviewing open issues, preparing discussion materials, actively participating in reviews, generating reports that highlight potential challenges and solutions, and tracking resolutions to completion.
- Assisting in the development of requirements for emerging technologies and continuously evaluating and refining existing system-level requirements.
- Conducting analysis and evaluation of emerging issues, performing yield analysis, updates, and enhancements to assess impacts on combat and weapon systems.
- Managing interface changes related to new and emerging technologies and participating in technology refresh planning while ensuring all relevant documentation is maintained.
- Overseeing the maintenance and management of the Teradyne S9100 Test System.
- Creating Test Program Sets (TPS), completing TPS certifications, and implementing necessary test modifications.
- Designing and constructing Interface Test Assemblies (ITAs).
- Engaging with senior government leadership and collaborating with various organizational stakeholders.
- Executing any additional tasks as assigned by the government customer.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering field; 3 years with a Master's degree; or no experience with a PhD.
- An Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment.
- The ability to be a proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electrical measurement tools, as well as analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience in reviewing and developing hardware/software system interface documents.
- Competence in reading, creating, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in C or C++ within the Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple organizations to achieve established goals within a timeline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience working with DoD customers is highly advantageous.
