Intermediate Electrical Systems Engineer

Peraton is looking for a Mid-Level Systems/Electrical Engineer who holds an Active Secret Clearance. This role requires full-time onsite presence in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) clientele.
As a vital member of a skilled and driven team, you will engage in a dynamic program that encompasses various technical and engineering phases of systems development, testing, integration, deployment, quality assurance (QA), certification, and ongoing maintenance. Additional responsibilities include providing operational support, technical documentation, communication, network engineering, hardware design and integration, information assurance (IA), system interoperability assistance, and system administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical assistance for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) meetings, working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and routine system status coordination sessions.
- Support systems engineering efforts by reviewing open issues, preparing discussion materials, actively participating in reviews, generating reports that highlight potential challenges and solutions, and tracking resolutions to final approval.
- Contribute to the development of requirements for emerging technologies and the continuous assessment and refinement of existing system-level requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate emerging issues, perform yield analysis, and implement updates and enhancements to assess their impact on combat and weapon systems.
- Manage interface changes, including new and emerging technologies, while participating in technology refresh planning and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of the Teradyne S9100 Test System.
- Create Test Program Sets (TPS), complete TPS certifications, and implement necessary test modifications.
- Design and construct Interface Test Assemblies (ITAs).
- Engage with senior government leadership and collaborate with various organizational stakeholders.
- Execute any additional tasks as assigned by the government customer.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, 3 years with a master's degree, or no experience with a PhD.
- Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment.
- A proactive self-starter with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using electrical measurement tools, and in analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience in reviewing and developing hardware/software system interface documents or interface control documents.
- Skilled in reading, creating, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in C or C++ within the Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple organizations to achieve established goals within a timeline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience working with DoD customers is highly advantageous.
