Intermediate Electrical Systems Engineer

Peraton is in search of a Mid-Level Systems/Electrical Engineer who holds an Active Secret Clearance. This role requires full-time onsite engagement, supporting our Department of Defense (DoD) clientele.
As a member of a dynamic and skilled team, you will contribute to a stimulating program that encompasses various technical and engineering phases, including systems development, testing, integration, quality assurance (QA), certification, and ongoing maintenance. Your responsibilities will also involve business operations, technical documentation, communication, network engineering, hardware design and integration, information assurance (IA), system interoperability, and system administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate technical support for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and system status coordination meetings.
- Assist in system engineering by reviewing open issues, preparing discussion materials, participating in reviews, generating reports on potential problems and solutions, and tracking resolutions to completion.
- Support the development of requirements for emerging technologies and continuously evaluate and refine existing system-level requirements.
- Analyze emergent issues, perform yield analysis, and implement updates to assess impacts on combat and weapon systems.
- Manage interface changes, including new technologies, and participate in technology refresh planning while ensuring documentation is up to date.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of the Teradyne S9100 Test System.
- Create Test Program Sets (TPS), complete TPS certifications, and implement necessary test modifications.
- Design and construct Interface Test Assemblies (ITAs).
- Engage with senior government leadership and collaborate with various organizations.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the government customer.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; 3 years with a master's degree; no experience required with a PhD.
- Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment.
- Ability to be a proactive self-starter with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electrical measurement tools, as well as analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience in reviewing and developing hardware/software system interface documents.
- Skilled in reading, creating, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in C or C++ within the Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple organizations to achieve established goals within set timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience working with DoD customers is highly advantageous.

Salary Range
The typical salary range for this position is $86,000 - $138,000, based on experience and other relevant factors.
