About the Role

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Associate Executive Director in Waco, Texas. This key leadership position will play a critical role in driving program growth and development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Operations and Development: Oversee the planning and delivery of programs throughout the branch and community, with a focus on outreach and enrichment initiatives.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and develop a team of staff members, including hiring, training, coaching, and ensuring safe operations.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets and forecasted growth in program departments, ensuring balanced financial operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and development.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the YMCA's mission and programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Business Management, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience in supervising or directing programs as a program and/or center director.
  • Certifications: YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
