About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Account Development Manager to drive the expansion of our Research Intelligence business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing new sales and fostering the growth of existing accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve overall revenue targets for a portfolio of scientific databases and solutions, including Solutions Products and Content Licensing.
  • Apply a consultative approach to client needs and align them with our sales strategies and internal policies.
  • Formulate focused strategies tailored towards the market and align sales approach to meet market needs in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct annual account planning and execution, ensuring Salesforce is always up to date.
  • Gather, monitor, and evaluate competitor information and provide market feedback to enhance product development and Go-To-Market strategy.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences, with agreed outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant decision makers and influencers at the customer level to support our strategic objectives.
  • Integrate and process information derived from current projects, customers, market awareness, and technical knowledge.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in direct sales, demonstrating expertise in a consultative, complex solution-sales approach.
  • Ability to work on an operational, tactical, and strategic level.
  • Self-motivation and a drive to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in building out business with a customer and in strategic account planning.
  • Proficiency in strategic account planning and management, with the ability to connect the dots within customer institutions.
  • Experience in selling enterprise software within an international matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
