**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process and candidate lifecycle for all summer associate, lateral associate, and legal personnel needs, ensuring high-quality and diverse hires.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for sourcing top-tier candidates, leveraging industry knowledge and best practices.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and other databases to market map prospective recruits and coordinate direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with the firm's goals and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including headhunters, to identify and attract top talent.
  • Stay informed of legal recruiting trends and assess their impact on the firm's hiring processes, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews, assessing candidate qualifications and influencing offer recommendations.
  • Coordinate the firm's on-campus interviewing program and maintain effective relationships with law school career services.
  • Analyze post-season results and implement strategic changes as necessary to improve recruitment outcomes.
  • Plan and manage a robust summer program, including social events and trainings, to ensure a positive and engaging experience for summer associates.
  • Oversee the summer associate program budget, ensuring compliance with approved guidelines and best practices.
  • Work with the Hiring Committee, Hiring Partners, and Summer Associate Program Coordinators to manage work assignment distribution and evaluation processes.
  • Conduct summer associate arrival and exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Schedule and prepare agendas and materials for Hiring Committee meetings to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Influence summer associate hiring recommendations and coordinate follow-up meetings to finalize offer decisions.
  • Manage all reporting, metrics, and data management related to the New York office, ensuring accurate real-time information is available.
  • Manage and mentor assigned staff, including objective setting, task delegation, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster and cultivate a collaborative and accountable team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding firm matters and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Manage data related to the applicant tracking system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Travel to other firm offices and on-campus locations as needed to support recruitment efforts.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of attorney recruiting experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Minimum of 1 year people management experience, including conducting employee evaluations, supporting team professional development, and growth by managing performance.
  • Knowledge of employment laws related to hiring practices, including Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to firm personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Leopard List, and ViRecruit.
