The Role

This Business Development Manager position reports directly to the Regional Director and plays an integral part in the sales organization. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales objectives by growing JPMS's distribution footprint in your assigned geographic area.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with top-performing salons and distributor stores within your assigned geography
  • Expand existing Paul Mitchell Professional Color accounts while focusing on acquiring new leads
  • Sell new points of distribution to existing John Paul Mitchell System accounts
  • Ensure brand in-salon and store objectives are met (i.e., sell-in of new brands/skus, leverage business-building concepts e.g., Service Marketing)
  • Work closely with the Regional Director to ensure education sufficiency for top-performing salons
  • Participate in local shows and events
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to educate newly acquired salons, top-performing salons, and store associates on all John Paul Mitchell Systems brands, products, and programs
  • Conduct sales meetings for distributor stores and salon business consultants with the Regional Director
  • Enroll and work with Pro Rewards salons to increase purchases to meet program standards and qualifying status
  • Promote ticket sales to salons for events such as demos, round tables, and other educational events?

Requirements:

What You'll Need:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively externally and internally
  • Comfortable presenting to small and medium-sized groups
  • Strong time management skill with the ability to focus on important priorities for your division (especially meeting planning and negotiations)
  • Strong initiative and follow-through

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000, based on various factors including location, experience, skills, and education. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in the company's discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
