We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Life Science Research Professional 2 to join our team at the Stanford University School of Medicine. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex experiments, interpreting results, and making recommendations to the principal investigator.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research projects, including designing and implementing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
- Collaborate with other researchers and lab members to achieve research goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff and students, including laboratory techniques and research methods.
- Contribute to the preparation of papers for publication, including writing and editing manuscripts.
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in a related scientific field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
- Physical ability to work in a laboratory setting, including standing, walking, and lifting.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with exposure to hazardous materials and equipment. The position may require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
