Position Details

Hourly Wage: $20.00, with an additional $0.75 per hour for night shifts

Shift Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM

Benefits commence on the first day of employment

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Trim Sheet Specialist, you will oversee all facets of trim sheet coil production, which includes operating machinery, inspecting materials, packaging products, consolidating orders, and handling materials.
  • It is essential to work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Proper operation of forklifts within the production area is required.
  • Complete tasks as directed by production management.
  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each assigned task.
  • Act promptly to address safety concerns, minimize equipment downtime, reduce waste, and rectify any quality deviations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including production logs, quality assessments, product labels, and transaction manifests.
  • Effectively manage waste, ensuring proper segregation of recyclable and hazardous materials.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste generation.
  • Keep a tidy and organized workspace to promote safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating forklifts is required; sit-down forklift experience is preferred.
  • Previous machine operation experience is necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations as required by job duties.
  • Must demonstrate common sense, a positive attitude, and excellent attendance.
  • Quality and safety awareness is crucial; teamwork is essential.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, both above shoulder height and below waist level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction.
  • Physical stamina is required, including extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.
  • Personal protective equipment is required for operating tuggers, overhead cranes, carts, dollies, and some hand tools.
  • Consistent safe work practices are mandatory for all associates.
  • Fulfillment of safety responsibilities is a key component of performance evaluations.
