Compensation range: $16.50/hour - $20.60/hour based on experience and role assignment

For less experienced press technicians:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily production tasks while ensuring a consistent workflow.
  • Adhere to quality standards set forth in process documentation.
  • Manage production as outlined in process and routing files along with Process Data Sheets.
  • Follow safety protocols including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA), and Area Safety Analysis (ASA).
  • Ensure environmental compliance during operations as directed by supervisors or environmental teams.
  • Observe the mechanics and operation of the transfer system, monitor scrap accumulation, and report any issues to the relevant personnel.
  • Inspect parts visually for defects, notify the line leader of recurring issues, and remove any defective items.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with the Process Data Sheet, including completing inspection logs, following packing instructions, and operating hand lifts and portable ovens.
  • Document and communicate inspection results to the supervisor.
  • Alert the line leader or supervisor if inspection data falls outside acceptable limits.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
For more experienced Press Technicians:
  • Oversee multiple press operations simultaneously.
  • Responsible for setup of presses ranging from 90 to 1600 tons.
  • Ensure the production of quality parts, both dimensional and visual.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures: Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA), and Area Safety Analysis (ASA).
  • Maintain environmental compliance during operations as instructed by supervisors or environmental teams.
  • Communicate effectively with shift supervisors, tooling engineers, quality engineers, and personnel from other shifts regarding production issues and quality concerns.
  • Monitor lubrication to prevent die shearing, ensure proper part placement, manage scrap build-up, and report any die-related issues to tooling personnel.
  • Set dies within scheduled timeframes to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work areas as necessary.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
