Position Summary

Under the guidance of seasoned Imaging Services Engineers, the Imaging Services Technician I plays a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of imaging technologies within a designated area. This position typically involves working closely with experienced staff, although independent work may occur on occasion. Responsibilities include performing maintenance tasks, installations, repairs, calibrations, and safety assessments, all while adhering to corporate policies and maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaboration
    1. Assist experienced Imaging Services Engineers in the setup and upkeep of imaging equipment.
    2. Engage with management and technical teams for effective service delivery.
    3. Seek guidance from higher-level authorities for complex issues.
  2. Service Delivery
    1. Provide maintenance and repair services for various imaging modalities, including ultrasounds, mobile radiographic units, and mammography equipment.
    2. Support other engineers in routine maintenance and safety checks.
  3. Operational Excellence
    1. Make informed decisions based on established protocols and guidelines.
    2. Demonstrate initiative and adhere to safety practices.
    3. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within designated timelines.
    4. Effectively prioritize workload with supervisory support.
    5. Meet performance metrics related to maintenance and service delivery.
  4. Documentation and Compliance
    1. Maintain accurate records as required by management.
    2. Exhibit proactive planning and resource management.
  5. Travel Requirements
    1. This position may require up to 80% travel.
Qualifications
  1. Associate's degree in electronic technology, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance, with preference for experience in imaging modalities.
  3. Relevant certifications such as AAMI CBET / CRES or ACCE CCE are advantageous.
  4. Familiarity with essential tools and equipment used in the field.
  5. Basic understanding of radiation safety and imaging technology.
Skills and Competencies
  1. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  2. Knowledge of healthcare technology management and relevant technical terminology.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  4. Strong integrity and commitment to professional development.
  5. Ability to synthesize troubleshooting information to inform decision-making.
