Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving growth and revenue for our clients. This individual will work closely with our M&A team to develop and execute strategic business development plans, identify new opportunities, and build strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our client base.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with our M&A team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns, including social media strategies, CLE seminars, and organizational affiliations.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality content, pitches, and proposals to clients, including customized RFP/RFI responses and marketing materials.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and expand our client base.
  • Provide thought leadership and execute on targeted marketing methods to increase external and internal visibility.
  • Ensure meticulous execution of all projects and work, with data and content consistently accurate and well presented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve synergies and drive business growth.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and service excellence in all areas of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Five or more years of professional services business development and/or marketing experience; law firm experience highly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of M&A/transactional practices, with direct work experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of core marketing principles, including driving innovative tools and programs, competitive intelligence, market research, and pitch and RFP responses.
  • High degree of motivation, with driving sense of responsibility, accountability, and responsiveness.
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to focus written materials to ensure impact on general business, legal, and niche populations.
  • Strong business acumen, with ability to recognize marketing and business development opportunities and pursue them strategically.
  • Excellent attention to detail in all areas, including writing, copy editing, researching, and managing data.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions, including ability to draw clear conclusions from a diverse collection of data.
  • Talent for creating client satisfaction, with demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work.

Compensation

Salary ranges are competitive and based on experience. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO.
