About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) team at Expedia Group. As a key business partner to the TPM Commercial Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Trips (Air) group within TPM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support commercial negotiations with airline partners alongside the Air (Growth) Commercial team
- Partner with the business to identify opportunities for improvement in process, commercial agreements, customer experience, and revenue growth
- Develop and share best practices with other team members to improve coordination and communication
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, variance analyses, trend analysis, and financial review documents
- Troubleshoot data issues and proactively investigate unusual trends or variances
- Serve as a key point of contact for communicating updates to and answering queries from stakeholders
- Use business intelligence tools to drive deeper insight into the business
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting field or related technical field
- 2+ years of professional accounting, finance, or audit experience, with public accounting experience a plus
- Robust Excel skills, including the ability to build models, simplify existing formulas, and troubleshoot data sets
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to partner with varying levels of management
- Proven ability to deep-dive into large data sets and identify key drivers or unusual variances
- Proven ability to operate autonomously and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to think outside the box and identify alternative solutions
- Strong attention to detail and comfort in being a subject matter expert
- A relationship builder, exceptional listener, and team player
- Experienced and enthusiastic working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments
What We Offer:
- Total cash range for this position in Seattle is $66,000.00 to $92,000.00, with the potential to increase to $105,500.00 based on performance
- Starting pay will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and individual knowledge, skills, and experience
