Job Summary

AFC Urgent Care San Diego is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant or Patient Service Representative to serve as the front office lead. This individual will be responsible for leading by example and providing exceptional customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the training and development of Front Office Staff.
  • Manage the schedule to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Oversee registration, insurance verification, and checkout processes.
  • Perform weekly packaging of day sheet records to facilitate reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with daily task logs and patient disposition logs.
  • Maintain inventory to support front office operations.
  • Ensure timely scanning of EOBs, insurance payments, and invoices.
  • Ensure cleanliness and decorum of all facilities.
  • Maintain Workers Comp files and records.
  • Oversee State DOT Physicals program.
  • Handle patient complaints with confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Availability to work weekends and some afternoon shifts
  • Exceptional customer service skills
