We are seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic to join our team at our Orlando, FL location. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Class 8 trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Corrective and Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on medium and heavy duty vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Use diagnostic equipment to identify and repair faults in electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine, and suspension systems.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and detailed repair information to shop foremen and customers, and communicate with parts department personnel to obtain necessary parts.
  • Operate Diagnostic Equipment: Use computerized diagnostic tools to detect and isolate faults in vehicles and interpret test results.
  • Perform Road Tests: Conduct road tests on customer vehicles to verify repair procedures and assist in problem isolation.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Track and charge clocked hours to the proper corresponding repair order operation, and write up clear and detailed repair descriptions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required: Formal technical degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Experience Required: Experienced technicians must have at least 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
  • Personal Tool Inventory: Possess a personal tool inventory to allow for the completion of job duties and assignments.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Commercial Drivers License: Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, electrical schematics, and various other technical bulletins.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements, and ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk, and sit on a regular basis with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
