Job Overview

Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance and repair tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various heavy machinery, trucks, and vehicles, whether they are utilized on or off-road, and powered by diesel or gasoline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the repair and upkeep of heavy construction machinery.
  • Possession of essential mechanic tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; a CDL is preferred.
  • Willingness to operate from job sites as necessary and work out of a service vehicle.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective measures to ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Capability to perform tasks independently without direct oversight.
  • Experience working with various types of heavy equipment, including mini excavators, forklifts, cranes, bucket trucks, and digger derricks.
  • Physical ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards work while adhering to safe work practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
