The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Truck & Trailer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our fleet of state-of-the-art diesel tractors and specialized car-hauling trailers. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and peak performance of our vehicles, allowing us to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on both tractors and trailers, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough preventative maintenance (PM) procedures on a scheduled basis to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Proactively identify potential issues with tractors and trailers that could compromise safety or lead to operational disruptions.
- Work efficiently within allocated timeframes to ensure timely completion of routine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain meticulous records of all repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with Reliable Carriers and Federal CSA regulations.
- Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
Your Qualifications
- Prior experience in heavy-duty truck/trailer repair or automotive maintenance is essential.
- A strong understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and drivers.
