Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming and registering guests, delivering prompt and courteous service, and managing guest accounts upon their departure, all while adhering to Pyramid Hotel Group's high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival, utilizing a friendly demeanor and clear communication to address their needs and provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Facilitate the registration process by accurately entering and retrieving guest information from the computer system, confirming details such as guest count and room rates, and promoting hotel marketing initiatives.
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate financial management and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Respond to phone inquiries with professionalism, logging messages and relaying important information to guests as needed.
  • Manage guest check-out procedures, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns that may arise during their stay.
  • Maintain composure during busy periods and emergencies, effectively resolving issues related to guest accommodations or billing.
  • Address guest complaints with thorough investigation and resolution, ensuring a positive experience and fostering guest loyalty.
Additional Responsibilities

Alongside core duties, the Front Desk Agent may be required to assist with various supportive functions, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating with bell staff to assist guests with their luggage.
  • Managing safety deposit box requests and maintaining accurate records.
  • Utilizing office equipment to facilitate guest requests, such as sending and receiving faxes.
  • Organizing registration documentation and ensuring proper filing for efficient retrieval.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: No prior experience necessary; however, experience in hospitality is advantageous.

Skills:
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with calculators for financial transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with guests and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office area while performing essential functions.
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and retrieval.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform various physical tasks as needed.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
