Staff Nurse-Medical/Surgical Float Pool-Mount Sinai Morningside-Full Time-Night

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Float Pool team at Mount Sinai Morningside. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on health management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Support the orientation and training of new staff members and serve as a preceptor and mentor to colleagues.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.
- Current RN licensure in New York State.
- Experience in a medical-surgical float pool setting, with a strong understanding of acute care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
