Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, communicate patient status, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
- Education and Training: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote health and well-being.
- Quality and Safety: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes, and contribute to a culture of safety and transparency.
- Leadership and Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership skills by participating in unit-based committees, mentoring new staff members, and engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical expertise and leadership abilities.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.
- License and Certification: Current registration as a Registered Nurse in New York State and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an intensive care unit or critical care setting, with a strong foundation in critical care nursing principles and practices.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
