Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit Float Pool at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care, incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care effectively.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture of excellence and patient safety.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with current registration in New York State.
- Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned, with new graduates possessing current knowledge of the nursing process and its application.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse with current registration in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with additional certifications in NRP, ACLS, and PALS as required by the unit.
