We are currently in search of skilled candidates for the position of Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, assess, and optimize the material handling operations, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
- Coordinate the daily flow of materials, ensuring both quality and defective items are managed effectively to support standard operational practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and consumption rates to ensure they align with production needs.
- Verify the specifications of incoming and outgoing materials against work orders and established systems.
- Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal departments regularly to provide updates on material support and address any concerns.
- Propose, communicate, and implement enhancements across all departmental functions in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Compile and maintain necessary work records and reports as required.
- Review invoices and shipping documents for compliance with various shipping protocols and regulations.
- Assess products or materials to determine the necessary quantities, weights, and storage or transport containers.
- May perform similar tasks as those supervised, including general warehouse duties, data entry, and operating motorized equipment.
- Supervise staff, including performance evaluations, counseling, scheduling, interviewing, and attendance management.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with 5S methodology in a workplace setting.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in material handling and management within a warehouse context.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of business processes including logistics, shipping/receiving, order management, and inventory control.
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Prior experience with warehouse management software or databases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
