Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Account Registration Specialist conducts interviews with patients or their representatives to gather essential patient demographics. This role also secures insurance details, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable. Collaborates closely with all aspects of the Admitting department, including PBX operator functions and reception areas. Proficiency in operating a computer for data input and retrieval is required.

Must effectively communicate with the served population, utilizing age-specific techniques across various age groups from neonatal to geriatrics.

Maintain a strong understanding of medical terminology. Additional projects or assignments may be assigned with expectations for completion within specified timeframes.

Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience

Previous experience in a hospital setting as an admissions representative is preferred.

Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet required timelines.

Analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

Customer service experience is required.

High School Graduate or GED Equivalent is required.
