ASSISTANCE WITH BATHING
  • Maintaining hygiene is crucial for health. We strive to make this process both comfortable and secure by:
    • Respecting the client's dignity to foster positive family relationships
    • Empowering the client to retain their sense of independence
ASSISTANCE WITH BATHROOM NEEDS
  • Providing safe support for clients in the bathroom or while in bed is essential.
MOBILITY SUPPORT
  • We assist clients in moving around their homes, navigating stairs, and offer recommendations to minimize fall risks.
Responsibilities of a Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) plays a vital role in helping clients with daily tasks, which may include:

  • Being a companion to clients
  • Assisting with bathing
  • Helping with dressing
  • Providing toileting support
  • Facilitating transfers (helping clients move around)
  • Assisting with meals
  • Helping clients change positions (for those who are wheelchair-bound)
  • Supporting grooming needs
  • Transporting clients to appointments and activities (when applicable)
  • Preparing nutritious meals
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Cleaning areas utilized by the client
  • Managing laundry tasks
  • Exhibiting empathy and understanding of the client's emotional, social, physical, and mental needs
  • Being prepared to respond effectively in emergencies
