There is an opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time position with comprehensive benefits after a 90-day period.

Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse eager to expand your horizons? We are currently seeking a Regional LPN to support our facilities in the area.

As a Regional LPN, you will provide essential nursing support to designated centers within your region.

At each assigned location, you will deliver skilled nursing services to residents, collaborating closely with the medical team and supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure that all residents receive top-notch care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily nursing operations within a specific unit or wing.
  • Implement nursing techniques to ensure the comfort and well-being of residents; conduct daily assessments to monitor their status and promote optimal functioning.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during their rounds.
  • Administer prescribed medications, whether orally or via injection; provide treatments using therapeutic equipment; ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
  • Monitor residents' responses to medications and treatments.
  • Document and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors and attending physicians.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and training CNAs; assign daily tasks to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
  • Implement and uphold established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
  • Utilize proper infection control techniques.
  • Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
  • Provide accurate reports to the incoming shift regarding changes in resident status and necessary follow-ups.
  • Contribute to CNA performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions for CNAs as necessary; ensure compliance with personnel policies.
  • Recommend staffing, equipment, and supply needs to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Capture charges for supplies issued to residents within the unit.
  • Engage in the care planning process and ensure the nursing component is effectively implemented.
  • Respect and uphold the rights of residents; coordinate with other departments to ensure residents participate in activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Nursing Services.
  • Willingness to travel to any center within the region/company.
  • Availability to work overtime, including double shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a current, unrestricted license as an LPN/LVN from the State Board of Nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Capability to perform a variety of tasks with frequent changes in work schedule.
  • Able to work closely with residents, physicians, and staff.
  • Competent in adhering to prescribed nursing standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a genuine interest in providing service.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
