Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse eager to bring your expertise to various locations? We are seeking a Traveling LPN to support our facilities within the designated area.

As a Traveling LPN, you will deliver essential nursing support to assigned facilities. In your role, you will provide skilled nursing services to residents, collaborating closely with the medical team and supervising nursing assistants to ensure exceptional care standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily nursing operations within a designated unit.

2. Implement nursing practices that prioritize the comfort and well-being of residents; conduct daily assessments to monitor resident status and promote optimal functioning.

3. Prepare necessary equipment and assist physicians during rounds.

4. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring proper handling and storage of pharmaceuticals.

5. Monitor and document residents' responses to medications and treatments.

6. Record and report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervising nurse and attending physician.

7. Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with facility policies.

8. Assist in training and supervising nursing assistants, assigning daily tasks to ensure positive resident outcomes.

9. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

10. Promote safe work practices and infection control measures.

11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure follow-up actions are taken.

12. Provide thorough handovers to incoming staff regarding resident status and care needs.

13. Contribute to performance evaluations for nursing assistants.

14. Mentor and guide nursing assistants as necessary, ensuring adherence to personnel policies.

15. Recommend staffing and supply needs to the Director of Nursing Services.

16. Responsible for tracking supplies issued to residents.

17. Engage in care planning processes and ensure nursing components are effectively implemented.

18. Uphold residents' rights and coordinate with other departments to facilitate resident participation in activities.

19. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Nursing Services.

20. Must be willing to travel to various facilities within the region.

21. Availability for overtime and extended shifts may be required.

Qualifications:

1. Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license issued by the State Board of Nursing.

2. Proven ability to lead and inspire team members.

3. Adaptability to perform a variety of tasks in a dynamic work environment.

4. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to service excellence.

5. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
