Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Nurse to join our team at Diversicare. As a Regional Nurse, you will provide workforce support to assigned centers within the region, rendering skilled technical nursing services to residents and supervising CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients, assessing conditions, communicating with attending physicians, and carrying out nursing functions according to the needs of the patient.
  • Supervise CNAs and trained medication aides, evaluating their performance and providing coaching and discipline as needed.
  • Assess and monitor patient needs, verifying that policies and procedures are followed.
  • Respond to and coordinate actions in emergency situations.
  • Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Provide empathetic communication to families and patients regarding changes in condition and care concerns.
Requirements
  • Current license by the State Board of Nursing as an RN.
  • Ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
  • Experience in the long-term care setting preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
