Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse eager to expand your horizons? We are seeking a Traveling LPN to support our facilities across the region.
As a Traveling LPN, you will deliver essential nursing support to designated facilities within your area. At each location, you will provide skilled nursing services to residents, collaborating with our medical staff and supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure top-notch care for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations within a specific unit or wing.
- Implement nursing techniques to ensure the comfort and well-being of residents; conduct daily assessments to monitor resident status and promote optimal functioning.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during rounds.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
- Monitor residents' reactions to medications and treatments.
- Document and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors and attending physicians.
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with policy requirements.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing CNAs; assign daily tasks to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
- Implement and uphold facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and infection control protocols.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Provide accurate reports to incoming shift Charge LPNs regarding changes in resident status and follow-up needs.
- Contribute to CNA performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions for CNAs as necessary; ensure compliance with personnel policies.
- Recommend staffing, equipment, and supply needs to the Director of Nursing Services.
- Account for charges for supplies issued to residents in the unit.
- Engage in the care planning process and ensure nursing components are implemented.
- Respect residents' rights and coordinate with other departments to facilitate resident participation in activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Nursing Services.
- Willingness to travel to various facilities within the region.
- Availability to work overtime, including double shifts.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- Ability to lead and inspire team members.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks with frequent changes in work schedule.
- Proficient in working closely with residents, physicians, and staff.
- Capable of adhering to established nursing standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; dedicated to providing service.
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
