Grants Specialist Job Description

Randstad is seeking a skilled Grants Specialist to join our team. As a Grants Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful administration of federal awards and managing subrecipient agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate risks and potential changes to policies during the application stage of federal awards.
  • Review federal award budgets at the application stage.
  • Draft agreements for subrecipients and subcontractors using federal funds.
  • Create and maintain compliance monitoring systems for staff and subrecipients on federally funded projects.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in federal laws and propose updates to internal policies for compliance.
  • Assist with training for staff to ensure compliance on federally funded projects.
  • Verify federal award agreements for compliance and suggest necessary policy updates.
  • Assess risks for potential subrecipients.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure timely and complete reporting on federally funded projects.
  • Prepare communications about compliance with federal awards and related regulations.
  • Work with staff and agencies to quickly resolve questions or issues.
  • Identify areas for improvement and engage team members in finding solutions.
  • Support reviewer and/or act as a backup for non-federal grants and contracts.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Grants Administration.
  • Experience with Asana is helpful.
  • Requires experience in grants compliance.
Skills:

  • Federal Awards (2 years of experience is required).
