Position Overview

This role is integral to our Advanced Safety & User Experience division. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach, thrive in a hands-on environment, and manage multiple projects effectively while ensuring high levels of satisfaction among both internal and external engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Performance Triage: Assess and prioritize all system performance and compliance issues at the VSYS4 and VSYS5 levels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with vehicle system test engineers, integration engineers, and problem managers to clarify issue ownership identified during vehicle testing.
  • Design Review: Analyze system designs to ensure alignment with performance expectations.
  • Issue Evaluation: Evaluate issues discovered during testing phases and assign ownership to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Test Case Coordination: Develop test cases that correspond with system requirements.
  • Automation: Implement automation strategies to identify potential issues during testing phases.
  • Issue Summarization: Summarize issues during vehicle preparation and align findings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Instrumentation Improvement: Review and enhance instrumentation for VSYS4 and VSYS5.
  • Failure Pattern Identification: Identify and report common failure patterns and potential process inefficiencies during product development.
  • Data Process Review: Evaluate test data processing scripts for efficiency and accuracy.
QualificationsBasic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related automotive fields.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN networks.
  • Fundamental understanding of vehicle components and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python.
  • Strong logical reasoning skills regarding cause and effect.
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation abilities.
  • Quick learner with robust documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in ADAS system development.
  • Familiarity with common vehicle sensors, including radar and cameras.
  • Understanding of signal processing and vehicle dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the product development process and associated responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in issue triage and debugging.
  • Familiarity with other vehicle communication protocols, such as Ethernet and LIN.
  • Experience with requirement documentation and test case development.
  • Proficiency in issue tracking systems like Jira.
  • Experience with Canoe software.
  • Experience in software debugging on embedded systems.
  • Understanding of C++ and Simulink.
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards.
