We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team at Top Stack. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing assigned clients in the Flexible Benefits space, ensuring the highest level of service is met for the life of the plan.
Key Responsibilities- Client Management: Oversee all policy activity aspects of assigned accounts, including implementation, member issues, delinquencies, stop-loss policy coverage status, enrollment maintenance, and others.
- Benefits Administration: Manage flexible employee benefits administration, assisting current and new clients with questions, claims, and billing issues to a successful resolution.
- Pre-Renewal and Renewal Process: Execute the pre-renewal and renewal process, assessing and determining client needs to determine the best benefit options.
- Client Meetings: Organize and present client meetings, including employee enrollment meetings.
- Plan Enrollment: Lead the process for plan enrollment, including employee communication, case submission, plan implementation, and follow-through on all processes.
- Industry Expertise: Serve as a resource to clients for current market conditions and ongoing benefit regulation changes, industry information, and underwriting.
- Technology Utilization: Learn and become an effective user of benefit administration technology to best assist clients, create and run reports, interact with operations, optimal record keeping, and client management.
- Professional Development: Participate in industry events and other training to maintain knowledge and skill development.
- Wage Parity Regulations: Keep apprised of wage parity regulations and benefits offerings options under wage parity rules.
- Business Development: Actively seek referrals from current client base for new business prospects.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with the broker and key contacts for assigned accounts.
- Vendor Interaction: Interact with contacts at various vendors that support the accounts benefits administration.
- Document Approval: Approve client plan documents (SBC's, SPD Summaries, etc.) and employee ID Cards prior to generation.
- Claims Review: Track and review employer claims for appropriateness and payment, approving high-dollar claims for payment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a field such as business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in account management, including medical, dental, life, and other ancillary products.
- Knowledge: Possess a clear understanding and ability to explain employee benefits plans, regulations, and administration, as well as major legislation that impacts benefits, such as Health Care Reform and American Rescue Plan Act.
- Technical Skills: Experience with benefit administration platforms, such as Javelina, preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and Diagnosis Codes (ICD-9 & ICD-10) is helpful.
- Computer Applications: Solid working knowledge of standard computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Employer Paid Benefits: 100% employer-paid benefits for employee and family members.
- 401k Plan: 401k up to 3% match.
- Time Off: 9 paid holidays + 3 weeks of time off on accrual basis for the first year.
