Preschool Administrative Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Reviews and updates MSOP documents, templates, and job aids annually to ensure accuracy and relevance. This includes policies, handbooks, parent resources, and templates such as Tuesday Newsday, staff contracts, and offer letters.
- Provides organizational support to the Board of Directors, including developing and maintaining a BOD tool to ensure timely completion of annual and ongoing tasks, and ensuring BOD meeting minutes are freely available.
- Works with the Head of School to plan and execute outreach, marketing, and fundraising efforts, including maintaining a social media presence.
- Develops, maintains, and disseminates staff schedules, and coordinates substitute staff coverage in collaboration with the Head of School.
- Works with the accountant/bookkeeper to maintain ledgers for the school, and ensures payroll forms are processed in a timely and transparent manner.
- Manages the operation of the MSOP office, including implementing staff-wide policies on technology, communication, and planning programs, and seeking and implementing effective organizational aides to streamline office and school work.
- Collaborates with the Head of School to provide school tours, and registers incoming students and processes enrollment materials.
- Maintains records and files for student information, and reports any concerns or items needing to be addressed to the Head of School.
- Knowledge of Brightwheel Application
- Excel, Word, and Google Docs
- Background check through DCYF
- TB Test
- First Aid CPR and Food Handlers
- Blood-borne pathogens test through Land I
- Some knowledge of the Montessori Method/Philosophy
- Previous experience working with children
- Payroll experience/knowledge to work with the bookkeeper
